We are delighted to announce the launch of CORSICA 2.0.0! Our engineering team have been working tirelessly over the past few months to bring further improvements to our software package. The features in our latest update make our products easier and more intuitive to use while further increasing the quality of the data that they generate.  

Further Improvements to Accuracy 

We put thousands of hours into our software to continually push the limits of accuracy. This latest feature is the culmination of over 12 months of work to increase the accuracy of our inferred stress/strain data. We have implemented a new protocol that brings further increases in accuracy to both inferred yield stress and ultimate tensile strength values. These improvements have been heavily validated and rolled out across all-engineering metals.  

Support Chat  

When we launched our benchtop device in November 2020, we made a commitment to offer a first-class support service to all of our customers. We know just how frustrating it can be to wait days for a fix that should only take 5 minutes, or to sit on hold on the telephone for 30 minutes because the engineer is in another meeting. That’s why we have embedded a live chat function directly into our machine software. Through the live chat users now have a direct line to our engineering team for answering quick questions or remote diagnosing any issues in real-time. No more waiting around! 

Embedded Knowledge Centre

Stress-strain characteristics remains the key output of our machine, however, a series of supplementary data is also collected during a test. This includes surface topography measurements such as surface roughness and tilt values, as well as checks on the in-plane anisotropy. Our software now includes an embedded knowledge centre that explains all of the data that our machine produces, enabling users to maximize the value of all the data they generate.
