At Plastometrex, we are all about delivering efficiency, deeper insights, and a great, continuously improving experience to our customers. We are therefore thrilled to introduce CORSICA 4.0 as a testament to that commitment. Here are some of the things you can expect from the update:
Get to Know Your Samples Better, Faster
One of the most significant changes in CORSICA 4.0 is the built-in procedure and calibration unit that allows you to carry out your own load cell calibration to ASTM E4. This ensures that your testing is compliant with testing standards right from the start, helping you get up and running even quicker.
Additionally, we've introduced a new "Profilometry Mode" that measures topographical line scans to provide insight into the roughness levels of your samples or parts.
We've also added new features, such as XY scan capability, indenter tip management system and damage detection, improved load displacement data, profilometer calibration, and indent location identification, to deliver even higher levels of accuracy and consistency from your machine. And with additional selectable Brinell loads, you can better tailor your testing to your material and historic testing data.
Finally, our new and growing knowledge hub (beta) is also available to help you troubleshoot any challenges you may encounter during installation or operation of our machines. We pride ourselves on having some of the most intuitive machines in the industry, but if you do need some help, this new addition will serve as a go-to resource to answer any questions you may have.
More to Come
We are lucky to be working with some of the most innovative companies in the world. As keen innovators ourselves, we recognise that innovation equals evolving needs. That’s why we keep improving our hardware and software and have a pipeline of new inventions coming up. Keep your eyes open for our soon-to-be-released PLX-HotStage device for high-temperature testing, and Portable Plastometer for insightful mechanical testing of in-field assets.
